Lynn Jorgenson, MSW - Counselor and Pregnant and Pregnant & Parenting Teen Clinician

In Lynn’s role as a clinician at ParentsWithPromise, is to provide comprehensive therapeutic intervention services to individuals and parents with learning difficulties or adaptive functioning concerns, including individual counseling, one-on-one parent instruction, Parent Coaching, and group facilitation. Lynn received her Bachelor of Arts degree at Judson University in Elgin, Illinois with a double major in Human Services and Management and Leadership. She is currently working toward a Master’s degree in Social Work, with a Clinical concentration, through George Williams College in Wisconsin.

Lynn has previous experience in the Child Welfare field where she provided comprehensive case management services for families involved in Child Abuse/Neglect cases. During this time, she became increasingly more aware of the lack of quality services and the unrealistic expectations that are frequently placed on this population. Through this experience Lynn became interested in working with and advocating on behalf of individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or adaptive functioning concerns. Along with her work as a clinician and furthering her education, Lynn also enjoys hiking, nature, photography and spending time with her family.
